A different kind of blade was out on the ice this evening as Lions pair Joe Wightman and Reece Glossop were sponsored to have their hair shaved off all in aid of Children In Need.

They were joined at the last minute by Assistant Coach Paul Glossop after an offer of £50 came in via the official Lions Facebook page for him take part in the big cut.

The National Ice Centre’s mascot Pip The Penguin and Bluebell Bear – the mascot of Bluebell Hill Primary School were also on hand to lend their support to the event which was overseen by professional Hairdresser – Ailsa Budding of Perfect Endings, Netherfield.

Also helping give the guys a buzz tonight were junior team members Zac Glossop (U-12′s) and Jordan Kelsall (U-14′s).
