The Nottingham Lions hit the road to Lancashire once again this weekend as they prepare to take on the Blackburn Eagles at Blackburn Ice Arena on Saturday evening.

The Lions made it two wins from two games last Sunday with a resounding 8-0 victory over Hull Stingrays at the National Ice Centre and they will be looking to continue their good early season form against an out of sorts Eagles side who have had a disappointing start to their campaign.

Blackburn have lost their first three games, conceding twenty-three goals and scoring only one in the process. This included a drubbing at Solihull last Sunday where the Barons hit eleven goals past the Eagles without reply.

However, Nottingham will be fully aware they will have to be focused and on form to come away with a good result knowing they will be missing last season’s top goalscorer Joe Wightman, Josh Ward who is on Panthers duty and veteran Simon Hunt. Captain Luke Thomas returns to the action after missing last weekend’s game.

Don’t forget you can keep up to date with all the action as it happens by following the Lions’ official Twitter feed from 5.45pm tomorrow (Saturday 22nd September).
