The English Ice Hockey Association, National Ice Hockey League and Planet Ice are delighted to confirm that the 2017/18 season will conclude with the ‘NIHL Final Four’ in Coventry on April 7-8, 2018.

Following three rounds of playoffs in NIHL North and South, an overall national champion will be crowned after a weekend of action at Planet Ice, Coventry.

Teams reaching the final in each of the Moralee and Britton division playoffs will advance to the NIHL Final Four and play crossover semi finals on Saturday April 7 with the grand final on Sunday April 8.

Further details around ticketing and game timings will be released in the very near future.

EIHA chairman Ken Taggart said: “Coventry was the natural choice for our showpiece event and I’m very happy we’ve been able to confirm the details. The weekend finale to the hockey season is a big part of hockey in the UK and players, fans and officials now have that date in their diaries for this season.

“Bringing the best two sides from North and South together will give us two fantastic semi finals and a worthy final to produce a genuine national champion. The NIHL season has started very well and we’re all excited to see how it develops as the season progresses.”

Skydome Arena general manager Chris Carpenter said: “Planet Ice Coventry are very pleased to be given the opportunity to host such a prestigious event in UK ice hockey.

“In the past we’ve welcomed fans of all the EPIHL teams for a great hockey weekend here and we can’t wait to extend the same hospitality to the fans of the NIHL.

“We’re sure this is going to become a key date in the hockey calendar for fans across the UK.”
