In what is arguably the Lions’ toughest game of the season so far, they will be looking to come away with the win and reduce their Welsh opponents’ lead at the top to just to just one point, whilst a defeat for Nottingham would see the Dragons extend their advantage to five points.

The home side come into the game in high spirits after last weekend’s fantastic third period comeback against Coventry, where they were able to overcome a four-goal deficit in the final seventeen minutes of the game to win 7-6.

The Lions also come into the game in good form after last weekend’s two wins against Sheffield and Hull respectively but they will know that they will have to be at the top of their game to overcome a Dragons side who have lost only one of their opening twelve games.

Deeside took home the spoils in the only meeting between the two sides this season so far, when they claimed a 4-2 victory at the National Ice Centre earlier this month. Goals from Luke Branin and Rob Perks were not enough to prevent Nottingham losing their unbeaten home record.

Matt Bradbury’s squad will include new signing Lee Holland, who looks set make his second career Lions debut after signing during the week.

If you cannot make the trip to roar on the boys, don’t forget you can keep up to date with all the action as it happens by following the updates via the Lions’ official Twitter feed. We’ll be covering the first face off, right up to the final buzzer, so remember to give us a ‘follow’.
