The Nottingham Lions are pleased to announce the launch of the NRGfuel Nottingham Lions Academy.
The Academy players will be selected for the annual programme to commence the first week in September through til the end of the 2013-14 season.
Prior to that the Nottingham Junior Club coaches have identified and selected the players to attend an eight week elite prospects camp. Players will age from 10 years to 16 years including netminders.
Prospect camp sessions commence the first week in July until the end of August when the selection for the full Academy will be made.
Head Coach Matt Bradbury has been working tirelessly over the past few weeks working with the NIHC (Nottingham Ice Hockey Club), Lions Coach Management Team and the National Ice Centre.
“Once this idea was agreed by Club Head Coach Mike Urquhart and the NIHC Executive Committee it was full steam ahead!”
