Lee Froch will perform the ceremonial puck drop ahead of the Nottingham Lions’ season opener against the Telford Tigers, at the National Ice Centre, on Sunday night (7:30pm face-off).

Froch

Lee is following in the footsteps of his brother Carl by fighting at the Nottingham Arena as he takes on Richie Leak for the European Boxing Federation Heavyweight title on September 29th.

Lee ‘The Renovator’ Froch is currently undefeated in his eight fights since making his EBF debut in 2015. Ticket prices for the event start at £30 with doors opening at 6.30 before the undercard of the evening begins at 7pm in what is sure to be a terrific night of European Boxing. Fights on the undercard for the evening include Andy Flint v Paul Stephenson, Tim Sobers v Paul Thompson, Calum Reeve v George Farell and Jack Flecher v Dan Treacy. Local fighters Jack Mantell, Sam Godfrey and Rob ‘Big Red’ Lamont are also involved.

Lee will be hoping to continue the success of Nottingham boxing after so long away from the sport before his return to the ring in 2015 and you can find out more information and purchase tickets for the event here.
