Forward Connor Glossop is the latest signing for the Nottingham Lions, returning to the club after spending a season with Peterborough Phantoms in the EPIHL.
Nottingham local Glossop as also had experience in the EIHL with Manchester Storm as well as appearing in several exhibition games for Nottingham Panthers.
Head coach Matt Bradbury is delighted to have Glossop back at the Lions, saying:
“Connor is a player that would be high on anyone's list and he had a bit of a challenge last year jumping into the EPL with Peterborough and balancing his playing with his work and apprenticeship. We know Connor really well and think he jumped too quick, too soon, but ultimately you live and learn and I think this season a relaxed, stable and focused Connor will be a huge addition to the team.
“Like many players he still has lots to learn and loads to offer, in particular his speed on the ice and his ability to transition and pressure opposition defences. More exciting times to come with Connor back in the line up and another solid player to add to the Lions - he's great to have around the locker room with his team mates.”
After the Lions have made the step up in divisions this season Glossop is excited to be re-starting his hockey career with the club saying:
“I am very excited to be coming back to the Lions after not playing for a while , I think competing at a higher level will really be a challenge for the Lions this season but I am really looking forward to it.”
