The Nottingham Lions are delighted to announce the return of promising, homegrown forward Daniel Hazeldine for the 2015/16 NIHL Laidler D2 campaign.

The 20 year-old, sniping playmaker is another player who has shone throughout his development, with the Nottingham Club marking his first year playing full time for the Lions back in 2013/2014.

Daniel or 'Bingo' to his teammates, made a big impact with the Lions in the 2013/2014 season but unfortunately due to work commitments was only able to play a handful of games for the Lions last season. Head coach Matt Bradbury took the time to speak to notthinghamlions.co.uk and outlined what we can expect from the local lad this coming season;

"What a great signing to be able to make so early in the season, Bingo has so much to offer our young team and he will slot straight in and compliment what we are already trying to achieve - and the scary thing is he is only going to get better as he matures."

"He has speed, stick skills and can put the puck in the back of the net - a more importantly withouth a doubt he will gel with his team mates instantly and not only that it will create further competition for the younger players to push their game on even more!"

Dan will slot straight into the team this Sunday vs Hull Jets at the National Ice Centre 7.30pm face off.

The Lions have another exciting announcement today, keep checking back here at nottinghamlions.co.uk for more signing news soon!
