The Nottingham Lions are delighted to reveal the next two additions to The Pride for the 2019/20 NIHL season.

First is the return of 28 year-old defenceman Jamie Hovell for his eighth season in Nottingham. Of Hovell’s re-signing Head Coach Matt Bradbury said “Jamie is a local Nottingham lad and has got so much to offer the team. He’s got good experience and his positivity will rub off on the younger members of the squad. Even as one of the older members of the team he is still improving and I’m pleased that he’s onboard again next season.”

Second is a new face to the NIC as 22 year-old forward Stephen Heape joins the Lions from Moralee Division rivals Solihull Barons. Of Heape’s capture Bradbury said “It’s great to have Stephen with us next season and I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s hungry to play and got so much to offer. He’s still only 22 and he’s a great fit for our team. He’s committed to working hard, he’s got good potential and is only going to get better.”

Stay tuned to the Lions social media channels on Twitter and Facebook to get news of further signing announcements over the coming weeks.

Last week the Nottingham Lions announced that they will be live streaming all home games at the NIC’s Olympic Rink from next season.
