A tough weekend awaits the Nottingham Lions, as they face a road-trip, double-header, travelling to Hull Arena to take on the Jets on Satuday (5pm) before they head up the M1 on Sunday, to battle with local rivals the Senators at Ice Sheffield (1.30pm).
Matt Bradbury's men will know this weekend's results will go a long way to deciding whether they make the top-four play-off cut come March and with the Jets currently snapping at their heels in fifth place, the Lions will have to be at their best, in order to achieve a four-point weekend.
Nottingham will no doubt, be boosted by last weekend's morale-boosting 6-2 victory over Deeside but they will also be well aware that Hull hasn't always been a happy hunting ground for them in recent years.
The Lions lost their unbeaten record in Hull last season, losing by a 5-3 scoreline back in November 2012 and this season managed to salvage a point right of the end of the game , when Rob Perks snatched an equaliser with eighteen seconds remaining, in a thrilling 4-4 tie, back in September.
The Senators are still waiting for their first win over Nottingham and will be looking to improve considerably on last November's performance, which saw the Lions ease to a comfortable 7-2 victory, helped along by two, early Christy Johnson Brown goals.
Coach Bradbury should have a full roster available for selection, although Johnson-Brown and Slawomir Kasprzak still remain injury doubts after missing last Sunday's victory over Deeside.
If you cannot make it to roar on the boys over the weekend, don't forget you can keep up to date with all the action from both games, as it happens, by following the Lions' official Twitter feed.
