Luke Smith is the latest player to be announced by the Nottingham Lions as returning for the upcoming season in what will be his third for the club. Lacing up in 22 games last season Smith added two assists to his points tally of seven from the year before, and having the 6 foot 3 inch defenceman in the roster again for next season is a relief for head coach Matt Bradbury who said: Luke has committed to Nottingham again which is great news. He's still only young, got lots to offer and he's still learning. He's a great player and I'm happy he's back. In addition to signing Luke Smith the Nottingham Lions are delighted to announce that netminder Alan Levers will be re-joining the Lions for next season. Speaking of the signing Bradbury said: Having Alan around to support and work with Ash is great news. His wealth of experience can really help us when games get tight or tough during a long gruelling season. It's brilliant having him around the team and in the changing room. With one of the most bizarre pre-game rituals Leves is a perfect signing for us and it's great that he's onboard again. Further new signings and re-signings are to be announced this week, so keep your eye on the club’s website and social media for all the latest updates.
