The Nottingham Lions have signed their first import for the 2018/19 season, 28 year old Czech forward Jakub Klima.

Klima has spent six seasons in the English leagues between 2011 and 2017, scoring 409 points in 181 games in all competitions at an average of 2.25 points per game.

Speaking of his excitement about joining the Lions Klima said: I’ve played for many years in the Southern League and never in the Northern but I am definitely looking forward to the new challenge. I will try and bring some experience to the team from past years and help them to achieve success.

Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions Matt Bradbury spoke of his delight at securing the signing of Jakub for the upcoming season stating “Jakub is a great addition for us and we look forward to welcoming him into the fold.  His style of play will really compliment us and there is no doubt that he has a good track record. If he can help us turn our attacking plays into goals then hopefully that will increase confidence amongst his team mates which could really help us to get over the line against some opponents that we ran close last season.”
