The Nottingham Lions are proud to unveil their new home and away jerseys for the 2014/15 season, manufactured by Rhino Sports and prominently featuring the Lions' new main team sponsor Solutions For Accounting.
Luke Thomas and Craig Wallis model the stylish new jerseys at the NIC this evening.
The new-look home jersey design has a 'winter classic' feel to it and incorporates a newly designed heritage logo, whilst the road shirt has retained the Lions' main team logo and has more of a modern edge to its composition.
This will be Nottingham's first change of uniform in three years and as Lions General Manager Danny Harrison explained, the team were preparing to use their old shirts for a fourth consecutive season, until their new partnership with the locally-based providers of business and financial management solutions came to fruition:
"We'd had our old jerseys since the beginning of the 2011/12 season and although they were still perfectly unusable, they were beginning to look their age, so we've been very pro-active over the summer, trying to attract new sponsors on board and we're delighted to have secured enough funding to purchase a shiny new kit for the new season." said Harrison.
He went on to add: "Launching our new partnership brochure over the summer and then announcing our first ever charity partner, have all helped to bring new and old sponsors and we've managed to incorporate all their logos into the design and I'm delighted with the finished results."
The Lions would like to thank all their partners and sponsors for their invaluable support for the upcoming season and for more information on the products, services and support that they provide, please visit our Sponsorship page.
Supporters will be able to purchase the new jerseys and details on how you will be able to get your paws on these fantastic new designs, will be finalised over the coming weeks. Keep checking back at nottinghamlions.co.uk for further updates.
The Lions' NIHL Laidler D2 season gets underway with an away trip to Blackburn Eagles on Saturday 6th September (5.45pm), whilst the home jersey will get its first airing at the National Ice Centre on Sunday 14th September (7.30pm), in a local derby clash with Sheffield Senators.
