For the second Saturday in a row the Lions hit the road for the shorter trip to Coventry to play the Blaze.

For the past few seasons the Blaze have struggled somewhat and have spent much of their effort in avoiding the lower end of the Laidler Conference with varying degrees of success.

It is not to say that they haven't pushed teams close and have achieved some notable results but find it sometimes difficult to pull together a good run of results.

To date this season has proved difficult and they have met some of the front runners in the conference and on occasions have suffered some heavy defeats.

The Lions go to Coventry after a satisfactory result on the road at Altrincham Aces last Saturday but know not to take anything for granted and will be treating the Blaze with the respect afforded to any of the opposing teams that they might meet over the season. Complacency can so easily lead to a team’s undoing and Head Coach Matt Bradbury will be ensuring that this attitude does not afflict his Lions squad.

Luke Smith who joined the Lions this season will be returning to Coventry but on this occasion wearing the black and gold of the opposing team.

Face Off at the Skydome is at 7.30pm

Saturday, 29 October 2016.
