On Saturday 3rd October the Lions enter the ‘Dragons Den’ in what could potentially be the toughest place the Lions will visit this season due to the formidable squad assembled under the Red Hockey banner. The Dragons are on a four game winning streak having beaten what might be considered their major competitor the Widnes Wild on their ice quite early into the season. Blackburn Eagles and Altringham Aces have also taken heavy beatings from this Deeside team.

The Dragons have picked up a couple of free scoring imports in Palak and Supa whilst the Brits such as Furnival and Parsons are also adding to the overall goal tally. So our boys certainly have their work cut out but they should be bolstered by their workmanlike performance in beating Hull Jets last Sunday.

Having said that this young Lions team will travel to North Wales to show off their talent and how far the team has progressed in a short space of time.  Ahead of the game Head Coach Matt Bradbury set out his stall for Saturday vs the Dragons "We're looking forward to the trip to face the Dragons, it's games like this that our players need as part of their learning to enable them to take their game to the next level,  I hope there is a big crowd in to play in front of providing a great atmosphere.  I can assure the home fans that my under 18's/20's will put on a show - there is no pressure on us whatsoever which makes it even more exciting."

Face off is at 7pm and we will be providing fans with twitter updates throughout the game https://twitter.com/_TheLionsPride
