Lions went down to spirited and battling effort losing to Solihull Barons 3-2 – however we did give much more and offered a lot more resistance.

Coming off the back of a disappointing home game versus Trafford the Lions were back in ENL action and keen to make amends.

We didn’t get any luck or any bounces in our favour all night.  We had a referee that was pressured into calls by vocal home team fans and we played a lot of time on the penalty kill – we had a goal wiped out which would have tied the game 2-2 and i’m quite sure we would have gone on and took the points.  Whilst the final scoreline wasn’t what we were after, the response from the players and the performance most certainly was.  All the players committed to the team and played a solid 60 minutes and we could ask no more that night.
