With the opening puck drop just around the corner the Nottingham Lions can today announce that they have secured the signing of Tom Parkinson from the Blackburn Hawks. Parkinson has made 34 appearances for the Hawks over the past two years, scoring seven points. Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions Matt Bradbury spoke of his new signing saying: I've worked with Tom for some time with the GB Uni's team and he always impresses me. He's still only a young guy at 23 but has a wealth of experience and a strong passion and commitment for the game. What I like about Tom is that he turns up to play at every training session and game and as a coach you can't ask anymore than that. He will gel with squad we've put together and be able to support and adapt his game playing across all lines and link up well with all players and look forward to having him in our line up. Further new signings and re-signings are to be announced this week, so keep your eye on the club’s social media for all the latest updates.
