Lions forward lines have been given a welcome boost with the news that last seasons top scorer Marc Levers will be returning for the 2018/19 Moralee Division campaign.
37 year old Levers played a major role in Lions securing a place in the division for this coming season, scoring 16 goals & 21 assists for a team leading 37 points in 31 games.
Levers is in his second spell as a Lion, first icing for the team back in the 2000/2001 season before embarking on a long & successful career in the Elite League icing for Belfast Giants & Nottingham Panthers before spending 4 seasons in the EPL with Peterborough Phantoms.

Of his return Levers told Jono Bullard “Returning is the right fit, the Lions gives me the chance to still play around my other commitments. I'm looking forward to seeing how we can build on the positives from last year & maybe turning those nearly results into wins.”
Head Coach Matt Bradbury is delighted to see his top scorer return to the side, saying “Marc is a great leader that is highly respected both on and off the ice, and he is a key signing. With the team we are building for the forthcoming season it is our aim to have more depth across the squad which will take some pressure off Marc which could ultimately make him more dangerous and productive than last year."
Further new signings and re-signings are to be announced over the coming weeks, so keep your eye on the club’s website and social media for all the latest updates.
