The 36 year-old veteran returned to the National Ice Centre for the 2017/18 NIHL Moralee Conference campaign, after four seasons in the EPL, with the Peterborough Phantoms.

Derby-born Levers began his senior career in the 2000/01 season, picking up 41 points in 28 games for Matt Bradbury’s Lions side, in the old Tier 2. His ice time was also shared with the Panthers during that campaign, with Marc icing 19 times in the old Super League.

After successful spells with both the Panthers and the Giants, as well as picking up 10 World Championship caps, Levers then moved on to Peterborough, where he went on to feature over 200 times in a Phantoms jersey.

Having appeared for the Lions as a special guest in two friendly matches against a Great Britain Under-20s side in recent years, Marc is no stranger to the Lions set-up. He is also the older brother of former Lions netminder Alan Levers, whose #1 jersey was retired by the team, at the end of the 2013/14 season, after icing over 200 times for the team.
