Matt
Bradbury

Head Coach

Nottingham through and through, Matt's relationship with hockey in Lace City began back in 1987, when he began playing for the Nottingham Junior Ice Hockey Club.

Bradbury then iced with the Nottingham Panthers during their 1990/91 campaign before spending two seasons with the Solihull Barons.

Sadly, his playing career was cut short due to injury at the age of just 21 but having already completed his Level 2 coaching qualification, he was able to make a smooth transition into a coaching career.

Between 1995 & 2000, Matt coached the Midlands Conference sides at Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 level, as well as England Under-17 and Under-19's. He also took on the Assistant Coach role for the GB Women’s side, at the 2000 World Championships in Hungary.

Matt then became Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions between 2000 & 2003, who at that time were playing in the old English National Premier League.

From 2003 to 2010, Bradbury moved on to become Head Coach of various Nottingham Junior Ice Hockey Club teams before once again, taking up his old Lions post, just before the start of the 2011/12 season.

Matt has also been Head Coach for Team GB (Men's) at the World University Games in Torino, Italy (2007), Harbin, China (2009) and Trentino, Italy (2013).
